MaiaSpace continues to expand its commercial activities through this contract with RIDE!
This next stage of development will permit, when technically possible, the integration of compatible auxiliary payload opportunities into existing dedicated MaiaSpace launch missions. This contract brings a new kind of customer into MaiaSpace’s commercial ecosystem, together with satellite operators and constellation manufacturers; it complements MaiaSpace direct commercial model and reinforces the company’s ambition to deliver Europe’s most modular launch services.
At MaiaSpace, we believe that delivering the right launch service starts with understanding and anticipating our customers’ needs. Our offering has been built around flexibility since day one, and integrating auxiliary payloads is a natural part of that commitment. We’re glad to welcome RIDE! and its customers aboard Maia. This contract reflects our ambition to provide the reliable, tailored access to space the market is looking for, making it easier for a broader range of missions to reach orbit.
This contract with RIDE! reflects that MaiaSpace is building progressively the ecosystem that will support the Maia launcher throughout its operational life and beyond. It has become MaiaSpace’s fifth secured contract in the past 15 months ahead of Maia’s inaugural orbital flight.
RIDE!'s rideshare program exists to match smallsat missions with the right launcher. Maia can adapt to these mission profiles and that's exactly what we are looking for. We keep working each day to ease launch supply constraints, and partnering with the new generation of launchers is key to that.
ABOUT MAIASPACE
Founded in April 2022, MaiaSpace designs, manufactures, commercializes and operates the first reusable and eco-designed mini launcher in Europe, which prefigurates the future family of sovereign and competitive European launch vehicles. MaiaSpace leverages the best of both worlds: drawing on the excellence and expertise of the historic European space sector, especially that of its mother company ArianeGroup, while maintaining the speed, agility and culture of risk of a start-up. Powered with liquid oxygen and liquid bio-methane, MaiaSpace’s launcher has a lift-off capacity of up to 4,000 kg in Low-Earth Orbit, depending on the launcher version (expendable or reusable), the inclination and the use of its Colibri kick-stage. The development of Maia is led by over 400 MaiaSpacers working with industrial partners based in France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and Poland.
