Full speed with our Colibri Kick-Stage!

This summer – and into early September – MaiaSpace team successfully completed key milestones in the development of the Colibri kick-stage.

With two engines connected and fired simultaneously, not only did we validate the engines behavior planned for the first flight of the kick-stage, we also learned how to master the dance of several engines working as one with the correct spacing.

These results are key to shape how we operate the kick-stage equipped with a cluster of engines in the harsh reality of space.

In parralel, we successfully completed a full mechanical environmental testing campaign – covering both vibration and acoustic tests – at the Thales Alenia Space facilities in Cannes – ensuring every piece of hardware is ready for space.
